The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. N. ID-22-1104 Approve Sponsorship with Luxe 10 Entertainment, LLC, in the amount of $500.00 for River City Live Event Thursday, September 8, 2022, pursuant to Sec. 17-3-1 and 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code as Amended. Mayor Flaggs, Jr., stated that purchasing an advertisement from Luxe 10 Entertainment, LLC will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the moral, financial and other interest of the City of Vicksburg. The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a sponsorship ad from Luxe 10 Entertainment, LLC in the amount of $500.00 for River City Live Event Thursday, September 8, 2022. The City is authorized pursuant to Section 17-3-1 and Section 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended. Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. Executive Session: Alderman Monsour, Jr. moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman Mayfield, Sr., Alderman Monsour, Jr. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether they should go into executive session. Alderman Mayfield moved to go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for: Request for Extended Medical Leave in Water & Gas Administration (1); Request for Education Incentive Pay in the Police Department (1); Transfer in the Police Department (1); State Change in the Police Department (1); Pay Adjustments in the Police Department (2); Discussion in Parks & Recreation. The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Upon vote being taken, the following voted aye: Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr. The motion was adopted unanimously. The Mayor and Aldermen are now in executive session. ID-22-1033 Transfer - Police Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Transfer of a Deputy Court Clerk from $11.00 per hour to a Booking Officer at $11.00 per hour, effective September 7, 2022 in the Police Department. ID-22-1035 Pay Adjustment - Police Department (2) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustments of a Patrol Officer from $21.82 per hour to $22.02 ($21.82+.20) per hour, effective September 10, 2022. Officer is entitled to an additional .20 cents per hour increase for ten (10) years of service; a Police Officer from $22.83 ($22.08+.75) per hour to $23.03 ($22.83+.20) per hour, effective September 13, 2022. Officer is eligible for an additional .20 cents per hour for five (5) years of service in the Police Department. ID-22-1008 Appeal Hearing - Sukhbeer Singh request to rezone the property at 2600 Halls Ferry Road from C-1 Neighborhood Commercial to C-3 Central Business District Commercial (Recess until 5:30 p.m.) Attachments: Appeal Sukhbeer Singh Zoning Minutes On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to open the Appeal Hearing for Sukhbeer Singh regarding the property located at 2600 Halls Ferry Road. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: Mayor Flaggs, Jr., Alderman Mayfield, Sr., Alderman Monsour, Jr. Today being the date set for hearing the appeal of Sukhbeer Singh from the decision of the Zoning Board of Appeals rendered in meeting held on August 2, 2022, to authorize a change in the zoning district classification from C-1 Neighborhood Commercial Zone to C-3 Central Business District Commercial Zone for property located at 2600 Halls Ferry Road. The testimony was taken by Helen Martin, bonded reported, and is made a matter of record hereof as thoughtfully set out herein.
