ID-23-0448 Longevity Pay - Ambulance Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of an EMS Paramedic from $14.56 per hour to $14.66 per hour, effective April 20, 2023. Employee is entitled to an additional .10 cents increase for one (1) year of service in the Ambulance Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. D. ID-23-0449 Longevity Pay - Human Resources (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of an Administration Assistant from $16.89 per hour to $17.09 per hour, effective, April 25, 2023. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents increase for five (5) years of service in the Human Resources/Safety Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. E. ID-23-0450 Longevity Pay - Police Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of a Front Desk Clerk from $11.62 per hour to $11.82 per hour, effective April 25, 2023. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents increase for five (5) years of service in the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. F. ID-23-0451 Longevity Pay - Water & Gas Administration (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay of a Cashier from $10.2850 per hour to $10.4850 per hour, effective April 25, 2023. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents increase for five (5) years of service in the Water & Gas Administration. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. G. ID-23-0452 Pay Adjustment/Status Change - Ambulance Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment/Status Change of a Paramedic IV (Full-time) from $14.56 per hour to a Paramedic (Part-time) at $25.00 per hour, effective April 19, 2023. Employee wants to continue to work for the Vicksburg Fire Department on a part-time basis in the Ambulance Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. H. ID-23-0453 Pay Adjustment - Police Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of a Patrol Officer from $16.12 per hour to a Night Shift Patrol Officer at $16.42 ($16.12+.30) per hour, effective April 19, 2023. Employee is assigned to Night Shift and eligible for additional .30 cents an hour differential shift pay in the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. I. ID-23-0454 Promotion/Pay Adjustment - Fire Department (5) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Promotion/Pay Adjustment of a Lieutenant Paramedic I from $16.08 ($16.02+.06) per hour to a Captain Paramedic I at $17.77 ($17.71+.06) per hour, effective April 19, 2023. Employee promotion includes five (5) years of longevity pay of .06 cents; a Lieutenant Paramedic I from $16.08 ($16.02+.06) per hour to $17.77 ($17.71+.06) per hour, effective April 19, 2023. Employee promotion includes fifteen (15) years of longevity pay of .19 cents; a Firefighter/Ambulance III from $12.73 per hour to a Lieutenant I at $13.32 per hour, effective April 19, 2023; a Firefighter/Ambulance II from $12.29($12.23+.06) per hour to a Lieutenant I at $13.38 ($13.32+.06) per hour, effective April 19, 2023. Employee promotion includes five (5) years of longevity pay of .06 cents in the Fire Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. J. ID-23-0455 Suspension - Gas Department (1) This agenda item was tabled until Tuesday, April 25, 2023. K. ID-23-0456 Suspension - Right of Way Department (2) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Suspension of an Equipment Operator for three (3) days with a 60 day probation, effective April 17, 2023. Employee was involved in a physical altercation with a coworker and went after an employee with a pitchfork. Employee will need to complete an anger management course a his expense; a Tractor Driver for one and a half days with a 60 day probation. Employee was involved in a physical altercation with another coworker and will have to attend anger management classes in the Right of Way Department (2).
