Mayor Flaggs, Jr. stated that purchasing an advertisement from Vicksburg Daily
News will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and
resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the
moral, financial, and other interests of the City of Vicksburg.
The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a
sponsorship ad from Vicksburg Daily News in the amount of $150.00 for Holiday
Greeting. The City is authorized pursuant to Section 17-3-1 and Section 17-3-3 of
the Mississippi code of 1972, as amended.
F. ID-23-1513 Approve request for advertisement in the amount of $1,500.00 to The
Vicksburg Convention Center pursuant to Section 17-3-1 and Section
17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended (full color laminate
board upstairs meeting room hallway)

Mayor Flaggs, Jr. stated that purchasing an advertisement from The Vicksburg

unanimously adopted.

On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr., the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustments of a Foreman from $10.40
($10.11+.09+.20) per hour to $12.40 ($10.11+.09+.20+$2.00) per hour, effective
November 29, 2023. Employee will receive an additional $2.00 per hour increase
for additional job duties; a Foreman from $15.83 ($14.57+$1.00+.26) per hour to
$16.83 ($14.57+.26+$1.00+$1.00) per hour, effective November 29, 2023. Employee
will receive an additional $1.00 per hour increase for additional job duties; a
Recreation Maintenance Supervisor from $23.98 ($23.49+.09+.20+.20) per hour to
$24.98 ($23.49+.09+.20+.20+$1.00) per hour, effective November 29, 2023.
Employee will receive an additional $1.00 per hour increase for additional work
duties in Parks & Recreation Maintenance. The motion was adopted unanimously

B. ID-23-1526 Pay Adjustments - Police Department (3)
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr., the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustments of a Patrolman from $18.12
per hour to $18.32 ($18.12+.20) per hour, effective December 14, 2023. Employee
is entitled to an additional .20 cents increase for one (1) year of service; a
Patrolman from $18.42 per hour to $18.62 ($18.42+.20) per hour, effective
December 14, 2023. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents per hour
increase for one (1) year of service; an Investigator from $20.07 per hour to a
Patrolman at $19.07 ($20.07-$1.00) per hour, effective November 29, 2023.
Employee is being reassigned from the Criminal Investigation Division to the
Patrol Division in the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously

Enforcement from $19.35 ($19.06+.20+.09) per hour to a Zoning Administrator at
$21.85 ($21.56+.09+.20) per hour, effective November 29, 2023. Employee is being
promoted to a Zoning Administrator but will keep a portion of the Code
