The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. Executive Session: Alderman Mayfield moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to determine if the Board should go into executive session. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they should go into executive session. ID-23-1591 Department Transfer/Pay Adjustment - Fire Department (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve department transfer/pay adjustment-Fire Dept for one employee Effective December 18, 2023 an EMS Paramedic making $11.24 ($11.14 + .10) will transfer to an Entry Level Police Officer increasing pay to $18.12 ($11.24 + $6.88) The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. B. ID-23-1592 Longevity Pay - Ambulance Department (1) On motion of, Alderman Mayfield, Sr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Longevity pay for an employee in the Ambulance Dept from $14.67 (14.57 + .10) to $14.77 (14.57 +.10 + .10) Effective December 20, 2023. This employee is entitled to an additional .10 cents per hour increase for 6 years of service. ID-23-1593 Longevity Pay - Inspection Department (1) On motion of, Alderman Mayfield, Sr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Longevity pay for an employee in the Inspection Dept from $15.76 (15.56 + .20) to $15.96 (15.56 +.20 + .20) effective December 20, 2023. Employee is entitled to an additional .20 cents per hour increase for 6 years of service. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. D. ID-23-1594 Retro Pay - Gas Department (1) On motion of, Alderman Mayfield, Sr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., The Mayor and Aldermen voted to approved Retro pay for an employee in the Gas Dept. A Gas Foreman is entitled to retro pay for longevity hours worked from May 12, 2023 to December 8th, 2023. The new rate of pay was added to the Munis system, but for some reason the system did not keep the new rate of pay. The employee should have received a 1.00 per hour for 20 years of service with the City of Vicksburg. Employee is due retro pay of 1,311.56. ID-23-1595 Request for Extended Medical Leave - Court Services (1) On motion of, Alderman Mayfield, Sr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve a request for Extended Medical Leave for an employee in the Court Services Dept.
