On August 26, 2024 the employee violated the Fire Department Standard Operation Guidelines 12.1.75. Relief or Duty B, Absent without Leave, Third Offense; suspended for twenty four (24) hours without pay. ID-24-1037 Suspension Pending Termination - Water (1) On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor Pro-Tem and Alderman voted to approve the Suspension Pending Termination of a Laborer. Employee violated the City of Vicksburg Personnel rules and regulations 4.1 (i), (q) and was suspended for 2.5 days, effective August 28, 2024 in the Water Department. ID-24-1038 Termination - Fire (1) On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor Pro-Tem and Alderman voted to approve the Termination of a Firefighter I, effective August 23, 2024 in the Fire Department. On August 23, 2024 the employee turned in uniforms and equipment, but did not give a notice. ID-24-1039 Termination - Police (1) On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor Pro-Tem and Alderman voted to approve the Termination of a Booking Office, effective September 3, 2024 in the Police Department. Employee violated the Vicksburg Police Department policy 2.14, Section three #5 by disclosing information relating to Police activities and 2.14 section two, #3, truthfulness.
