the Town of Port Gibson to obtain written consent to allow the City of Vicksburg
to provide gas services to the new Port. The motion was adopted unanimously

Mayor Thompson moved the Mayor and Alderman to go into a closed meeting to
determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Mayfield. Voting aye, Mayor Thompson, Alderman
Mayfield. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted.
The Mayor and Alderman discussed whether they should go into executive
session. Mayor Thompson moved to go into executive session to discuss

On motion of Mayor Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and
Alderman voted to Approve the Longevity Pay of an Emergency Medical Services
Paramedic by changing the hourly rate from $16.23 to $16.33 (15.93+.10+.10
+.10+.10), effective December 15, 2025. The employee is entitled to an additional
$.10 per hour increase for four (4) years of service. The motion was adopted
unanimously by the following vote:

B. ID-25-1427 Longevity Pay - Court Services (1)
On motion of Mayor Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and
Alderman voted to Approve the Longevity Pay of a Judge by changing the hourly
rate from $57.6274 to $57.8274 (57.0274+.20+.20+.20+.20), effective December 17,
2025. The employee is entitled to an additional $.20 per hour increase for seven
(7) years of service. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

C. ID-25-1428 Longevity Pay - Fire (1)
On motion of Mayor Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and
Alderman voted to Approve the Longevity Pay of a Captain Paramedic I by
changing the hourly rate from $16.65 to $19.75 (19.35+.10+.10+.10+.10), effective
December 20, 2025. The employee is entitled to an additional $.10 per hour
increase for eight (8) years of service. The motion was adopted unanimously by

Alderman voted to Approve the Longevity Pay of a Code Enforcer by changing
the hourly rate from $16.63 to $16.83 (16.03+20+20+.20+.20), effective December
20, 2025. The employee is entitled to an additional $.20 per hour increase for
eight (8) years of service. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following

Alderman voted to Approve the Longevity Pay of a Records Specialist by
changing the hourly rate from $13.20 to $13.40 (13.00+.20+.20), effective
December 27, 2025. The employee is entitled to an additional $.20 per hour
increase for two (2) years of service. The motion was adopted unanimously by
the following vote:

F. ID-25-1431 Pay Adjustment - Police (3)
On motion of Mayor Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield the Mayor and
Alderman voted to Approve the Pay Adjustment for a Lieutenant at $60,000,
effective November 12, 2025. This adjustment is to bring the employee to the
heretofore approved rate; Approve the Pay Adjustment for a Police Officer from a
current rate of $21.28/hour to a new rate of $24.4394/hour, effective November 12,
2025. This action is to bring Vicksburg Police Officers pay to a more competitive
pay with the surrounding jurisdictions. Officers will no longer receive longevity
pay; Approve the Pay Adjustment for a Sergeant from a current rate of
$23.04/hour to a new rate of $25.5605/hour, effective November 12, 2025. This
action is to bring Vicksburg Police Officers pay to a more competitive pay with
the surrounding jurisdictions. Officers will no longer receive longevity pay; The
motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

G. ID-25-1432 Suspension - Police (3)
On motion of Mayor Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and
Alderman voted to Approve the Suspension of a Front Desk Clerk due to
excessive tardiness. The employee is being suspended for three (3) days,
effective December 15, 2026; Approve the Suspension of an Officer due the
violation of Policy 2.14, Rules of Conduct-Section One, Number 4,
Insubordination. The employee is being suspended for one (1) day; Approve the
Suspension of an Officer due the violation Policy 3.08, Discipline and
Accountability. The employee is being suspended for one (1) day; This motion
was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

On motion of Mayor Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and
Alderman voted to Postpone the Ten (10) Day Suspension of an Equipment
Operator Policy until after the new ticket with the court date is mailed to the
employee and he/she brings a copy to the Human Resources Department. The
employee violated the City of Vicksburg Vehicle Usage and Safety. This motion
was adopted unanimously by the following vote:
