Town of Vienna 127 Center Street South Vienna, VA. 22180 p: 703-255-6300 TTY 7111 Meeting Minutes Board of Architectural Review Work Session Friday, March 5, 2021 8:00 AM Vienna Town Hall BOARD OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW March 5, 2021 Work Session Minutes The Board of Architectural Review met for a work session Friday March 5, 2021 at 8:00 am in the Vienna Town Hall at 127 Center St S. and Via Zoom Webinar. Chairman Roy Baldwin, Vice-Chair Michael Cheselka, Patty Hanley, Paul Layer, and Linda van Doorn were present participating via Zoom. Planner Andrea West participated via Zoom, and Board Clerk Sharmaine Abaied was present in Town Hall. Roll Call Roll Call: Ms. van Doorn, Mr. Layer, Mr. Baldwin, Mr. Cheselka, and Ms. Hanley were present. Work Session 201 Park St SE - Cadence on Park Mr. Sekas was present to discuss changes to the Cadence on Park. Mr. Baldwin asked Mr. Sekas to explain the changes he was presenting to the board. The changes were as follows: - The siding was lightened to look more like taupe (the same color used on Cadence on Center). - Triangle head features for units 2 and 4. - Black metal roof on the porticos for units 1 through 5. - Unit 1 changed to gray rather than brick. - Landscaping would be added. o Bushes in between the side of the building and the back of the curb o Landscaping in front of all the units per the rendering o Addition of the twenty-three trees (per the original submission) o Some shrubbery by the wall The board like the changes that were made. There was a request that the lighting package with the lumens and kelvins identified when submitting for the next public hearing for final approval.
