Belle Gambino, Kathy Blevins-VPAC Clerk Meeting commenced at 7:09 p.m. 2. Approval of the Minutes: VPAC22-142 Approve minutes from the February 15 meeting Ms. Cousins made a motion to approve the February 15, 2022 meeting minutes, Ms. Bruno seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. 3. Current Business VPAC22-143 VPAF treasurer report No changes in month of February. Once all ornaments have been sold, a check will be cut to VPAF. VPAC22-144 Chairman’s report Patrick Henry Library mural – BAR application was not submitted- Fairfax County was unable to sign the application and permission form in time. It will now be approved at the April BAR meeting. Economic Development Director-Natalie Monkou is unable to advise VPAC until the Master Plan has been submitted and reviewed by Council. Banner update- waiting for logo-it is on the Google drive. Ms. Bruno will email the logo to Ms. Cousins with logo pack. Ms. Cousins will go to the banner company tomorrow. The 8’X3’ banner can be created in 5 days for approximately $150 by McCabe’s Printing. VPAC22-145 Bylaws - comments and vote VPAF bylaws were reviewed by VPAC members with no significant changes. Ms. Aglio will send to Town Attorney to review. VPAC22-146 Master plan - edits, comments, and finalizing Needs to be finalized. Ms. Biles made a motion to hold another work session within the next two weeks to complete the plan. Ms. Bruno seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Mr. Cheselka will email Ms. Aglio and Ms. Kennedy to see if the proposed date of April 12 at 6pm will work for them. Caren Ann presented the event plan and craft ideas. VPAC22-149 Brochure - review, edit, and finalize Ms. Kang will coordinate the printing-McCabe’s. Ms. Biles made a motion to approve spending up to, but not to exceed $1,500 for up to 1000 brochures. Ms. Bruno seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Mr. Cheselka would like to have magnets ordered of the logo and possibly sell- with a tag line: “Making the place you know, a place to go” VPAC22-150 Discuss use of VPAC email account VPAC email account- resolved. VPAC22-151 Vote on purchase of Town iPad for VPAC donations at town events Ms. Biles made a motion to approve the VPAC’s purchase of two Town iPads. Mr. Comerford seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Ms. Georgen will check on the availability of a hotspot. VPAC22-152 Publish Wings mural writeup on Town website The write up was reviewed by VPAC members. Ms. Biles made a motion to approve the wings mural write up as is. Ms. Bruno seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Ms. Blevins can add this to the website once she has been sent a photo of the mural to use. VPAC22-153 NEW BUSINESS VA. Commission for the Arts Grant -due April 1. The application is complete, needs a couple signatures. Ms. Bruno will submit this weekend. Storm Drain Art- Ms. Gambino will search out artists. Ms. Biles and Ms. Gambino will review designs together. Junior Student Representative- Jacob Simpson. Mr. Cheselka will contact Mr. Simpson about returning the application to Town Clerk for interview. Fundraising- Ms. Biles will look into setting up a restaurant fundraiser-possibly Bear Branch. She will report back next meeting. VPAC22-154 Discuss April 19 meeting - possible vote to change date if necessary, April 12 or 26. Ms. Kang made a motion to change the April 19 VPAC meeting to April 12 due to the Mayor’s Volunteer Reception. Ms. Biles seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. 4. Meeting Adjournment Ms. Biles made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Ms. Bruno.
