Approval of the Minutes: VPAC22-181 Approve minutes from the May 17 meeting Ms. Cousins made a motion to approve the May 17, 2022 meeting minutes, Mr. Comerford seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. VPAC22-182 Steve Briglia, town attorney, guest speaker Town Attorney-Steve Briglia spoke about the roles of VPAC and VPAF and answered questions. 7:02 p.m.-8:20 p.m. VPAC22-183 VPAF treasurer’s report, grant updates Mr. Cheselka reported the VPAF has $11,417 in the account VPAC22-184 Chairman’s report •Patrick Henry Library mural – project is complete. Opening ceremony will be held Thursday, June 23 at 3:30 p.m. Artist will receive payment on that day. •Master Plan- Mr. Cheselka will update the document with the edits that came out of the 6 p.m. work session. This draft will be sent to Council members to review prior to the July 11 Council work session. •Council work session on July 11 at 7 p.m. All VPAC members are encouraged to attend. •NO July VPAC meeting. 2. Regular Business VPAC22-185 Viva Vienna recap booth set up went well. VPAC22-188 Bylaws update, vote to approve no update VPAC22-189 Madison high school art display no update New Business VPAC22-190 Friends of VPAC - newsletter article, discuss and vote Deborah Kennedy wrote the “Friends of VPAC” article for the Voice. Mr. Comerford made a motion to accept the written article for recruitment of volunteers. The motion was seconded by Ms. Cousins. The motion passed unanimously. The article will be submitted to Karen Thayer. VPAC22-191 New public art project??? no update VPAC22-192 Cunningham Park/Vienna Belong! proposed presentation proposed presentation- Mr. Cheselka will get back with the contact person to let them know that Ms. Cousins can come to speak to the children for just 30 mins. VPAC22-193 Elect chair and vice chair Mr. Comerford made a motion to re-elect Mr. Cheselka as VPAC Chair. Ms. Cousins seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Mr. Cheselka was elected as Chair. Ms. Kang made a motion to re-elect Ms. Biles as VPAC Vice Chair. Mr. Comerford seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Ms. Biles was not present to accept the nomination. 4. Meeting Adjournment Mr. Comerford made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Ms. Kang. The motion passed unanimously.
