Chairwoman Theresa Bachmann, Michael Cheselka, Julie Kyllo, and Stephen Kenney were present. Also in attendance, and representing town staff, were Department of Planning & Zoning Senior Planner, Dorothy Baker and, Acting Clerk to the Board, Yaska Camacho Castillo. Roll Call All members are present. Approval of the Minutes: There being no corrections the May 2, 2023, meeting minutes and the July 11, 2023, work session minutes were accepted into the record. WHBR - May 2, 2023 Meeting Mins WHBR - July 11, 2023 - Work Session Action Mins Regular Business 23-3917 Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior alterations to the existing dwelling located at 125 Pleasant St. NW, per Sec. 18-280.4., Docket No WHBR- 1051134-23 in the RS-16, single-family detached residential zoning district; filed by Brad Zombro of Customized Office Enterprises on behalf Charles and Laura Anderson, property owners. Chairwoman Bachmann thanked the applicant’s for their thorough application and for holding a work session with the board. Senior Planner, Dorothy Baker, provided staff’s report, stating that the application is a request for additions, renovations, and hardscape changes. The applicants held a work session in July, prior to tonight’s meeting. The application request is for exterior alterations, including a variety of projections, which the applicant can further present. Chuck Anderson, homeowner residing at 125 Pleasant Street NW, stepped forward to present. Mr. Anderson stated that he and his wife Laura Anderson are present on behalf of the application. Wheats Landscaping will be providing landscaping. As they are not present Mr. Anderson stated that he would answer any hardscape questions. Mr. Anderson provided a presentation of key changes that have occurred since the July work session to the exterior color and material selections with proposed materials and fittings for the additions on the back of the house, the new garage, project design goals, and proposed landscaping at the rear of the proposed pool. Board members expressed appreciation for the work session prior to the meeting and the thoroughness of the application. Further discussion followed regarding utilizing recycled materials and changing to the hardy material. Concluding discussion, Chairwoman Bachmann invited public comment. There being none, a motion was in order. Mr. Cheselka motioned that the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior alterations to the existing dwelling located at 125 Pleasant St. NW, per Sec. 18-280.4., Docket No WHBR-1051134-23 in the RS-16, single-family detached residential zoning district be approved as presented.
