Finance / Personnel Committee Meeting City Hall, Viroqua, Wisconsin Tuesday, May 26, 2026 6:00 P.M. The meeting of the Finance / Personnel Committee was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Todd Spaeth at City Hall and via Zoom. 1. Roll Call Committee members present were Cyndy Hubbard, Todd Kirking, Todd Spaeth, John Thompson, and Tanja Birke. Also present were Krista Browne, Nate Torres, Lori Polhamus, Sarah Grainger, Rick Niedfeldt, and Cheryl Purvis. 2. First period for public comment – None 3. Approval of committee minutes from 05/12/2026 – Motion by Todd Kirking/second by Tanja Birke to approve the committee minutes from 05/12/2026. Voice vote all in favor. Motion carried. 4. Discussion with possible action on general capital improvement project priority lists – Polhamus explained the taxi cab replacement schedule. Torres explained the airport lighting which has increased in cost. Todd Spaeth will check on the courtesy car request. Motion by John Thompson/second by Todd Kirking to approve the project priority lists. Voice vote all in favor. Motion carried. 5. Payment of bills – Motion by Todd Kirking/second by Cyndy Hubbard to recommend approval of bills in the amount of $345,215.88 and additional bills of $45,508.06 as well as the $45,622.50 for the squad car and pending information from the insurance company on the Lexipol bill. Roll call vote all in favor. Motion carried. 6. Administrative update – Polhamus is working on the airport storage tank license renewal, alcohol license renewals, audit questions, HR issues, and had a team meeting session last week. Torres has the recruitment firm setup and the survey closes today, working on transition planning, the budget builder is done, the capital projects and economic development is getting finalized and working with the Mayor onboarding. 7.
