. Village of Walden Board of Trustees Regular Meeting April 7, 2020 Mayor Rumbold called the regular meeting of the Village of Walden Board of Trustees to order at 6:30pm. On roll call the following were: Present: Mayor Sue Rumbold Trustees Faith Moore Brian Sebring John Ramos Larry Kraus Dan Svarczkopf Lynn E. Thompson Absent: Also Present: John Revella, Village Manager Marisa Kraus, Village Clerk Kelly A. Kelly, Village Treasurer Dave Donovan, Village Attorney Village Manager’s Report Manager discussed a synopsis from his daily briefings with the County, Town and other organizations during the COVID crisis. Manager Revella has been meeting and having conferences with the staff and the board daily to keep up with communication and to insure the budget is on track. Approval of March 3, 2020 Minutes Deputy Mayor Moore made a motion to approve March 3, 2020 Minutes. Seconded by Trustee Thompson. All ayes. Motion carried. Trustee’s Committee Reports Village Offices Liaison – Trustee Svarczkopf None Town of Montgomery & Library Board Liaison – Trustee Kraus None Planning and Zoning Boards as well as the Building Department Liaison – Trustee Thompson None Police Department and Justice Department Liaison – Deputy Mayor Moore Deputy Mayor Moore gave update on activities for the Police Dept. 1  . Recreation & Parks Department and Valley Central School Board Liaison – Trustee Ramos Trustee Ramos gave update on activities for the Parks and Recreation Dept. DPW Liaison– Trustee Sebring None Public Comment on Business of the Board None Action Items Discussion - Local Law 2 of 2020 – Override Tax Levy Limit Trustee Thompson made a motion to schedule Public Hearing for Local Law 2 of 2020 – Override Tax Levy Limit for April 21, 2020 at 6:30pm or shortly thereafter. Seconded by Trustee Kraus. All ayes. Motion carried. Garbage Bid RFP – Potential Awarding of Bid Deputy Mayor Moore made a motion to Award Garbage Bid to Interstate Waste Services. Seconded by Trustee Kraus. All ayes. Motion carried. Set Budget Sessions and Schedule Public Hearing Monday, April 13, 2020; Tuesday, April 14, 2020; Wednesday April 15, 2020 and Thursday, April 16, 2020. Each meeting to begin at 6pm. Deputy Mayor Moore made a motion to schedule Public Hearing for the Tentative Budget for fiscal year June 1, 2020 – May 31, 2021 for April 21, 2020 at 6:30pm or shortly thereafter. Seconded by Trustee Kraus. All ayes. Motion carried. Public Comment None Payment of the Audited Bills Deputy Mayor Moore made a motion to pay the Audited Bills. Seconded by Trustee Thompson. All ayes. Motion carried. Correspondence Deputy Mayor Moore mentioned a letter from a resident commending Officer Hall and Officer Dudas for their assistance on a medical call. Miscellaneous Comments from the Board of Trustees The Board of Trustees thanked all essential workers for continuing to work through this COVID crisis. 2  .
