Planning Board Meeting

WALDWICK PLANNING BOARD February 7, 2024 The Formal Session of the Waldwick Planning Board was held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. and was called to order by Chair, Adele Badalamenti, who made the announcement of adequate notice of all meetings. ROLL CALL: Ms. Badalamenti present Mr. Mysliwiec present Mayor Giordano present Mr. Oravetz absent Mr. Schatz present Mr. Posillico present Mr. Ramundo present Mr. Panfile present Mr. Cabibo present Mr. Vervoort absent Mr. Kowalski present Also Present: Cliff Singer, Board Attorney Joyce Sinclair, Board Secretary GREETINGS TO THE PUBLIC: No one appeared. APROVAL OF MINUTES: A motion was made for the approval of the Minutes of December 6, 2023 by Mr. Ramundo and seconded by Mr. Kowalski. A unanimous vote was taken. The Minutes were approved as submitted. The approval of the Minutes of January 10, 2024 was tabled to the March 6 meeting. RESOLUTIONS: Resolutions for Board Professionals: Boswell Engineering, Board Engineer Phillips, Preiss, Grygiel, Board Planner Cliff Singer, Board Attorney A motion for approval of the Resolutions for the Board Professionals was made by Mr. Ramundo and seconded by Mr. Kowalski. A unanimous vote was taken. The Resolutions were approved. APPLICATIONS: None 1 OLD BUSINESS: Mr. Singer reviewed with the Board the protocol for the conduction of meetings as per the Open Public Meetings Act, highlighting:  Having no unauthorized or unscheduled meetings  Remaining silent about Board business outside of the meeting  Discussion by the Board on an Application occurs only after it is complete  Remaining silent about an Application before it gets to the Board  Determining facts and applying the law to them  Listening to the recording of a meeting for which you have been absent, and signing affidavit, allows you to be eligible to vote on an Application that you were not present for.  An Application is voted on when it is heard and then voted on again after the Resolution is prepared. The two votes may differ, however, you must give valid reason for the change in vote. NEW BUSINESS: -Mayor Giordano noted that the Mayor and Council had a budget meeting and the Borough is doing well. -The tax reassessment has been completed and there have been questions by residents that are being addressed.
