2. General Public Comment
This provision is made to encourage the expression of questions and concerns regarding
non-public hearing items and issues not on the agenda. Speakers are asked to identify
themselves by name and address. A maximum time of 6 minutes per person is required.
3. 2610 O’Brien St. SW / 2851 Butterworth Dr. SW – Goodale Sand Pit
Engineer Brandon Simon of Nederveld Inc on behalf of applicant Goodale Sand Pit, LLC and owner
JA Devland LLC is seeking renewal of the Mineral Mining License for the 2020 calendar year and a
review of conditions imposed by the board from their February 12, 2019 hearing. The subject
properties are located at 2610 O’Brien St. SW and 2851 Butterworth Dr. SW (PPNs 41-13-33-200-
014 and 41-13-33-326-010). Hearing requested by Goodale Sand Pit LLC. Postcards were sent to
neighboring property owners within 500’ of the site identifying this February 18, 2020 meeting. The
case will be reviewed as a public hearing.
4. 2605 Bristol Ave. NW / 1784 3 Mile Rd. NW – Stanley Orchards Mine
Engineer Brad Meyers with Meyers, Bueche & Nies, Inc. on behalf of applicant Cordes Trenching I
Inc. and owner Stanley Orchards LLC is seeking renewal of the Mineral Mining License for the 2020
calendar year and the conditions imposed by the board from their February 12, 2019, hearing. The
subject properties are located at 2605 Bristol Ave. NW and 1784 3 Mile Rd. NW also known on the
tax rolls as 41-13-10-201-003/009. Hearing requested by Stanley Orchards. Postcards were sent to
neighboring property owners within 500’ of the site identifying this February 18, 2020 meeting. The
case will be reviewed as a public hearing.
5. 2301 & 2311 O’Brien Rd. SW – The Mines Golf Club LLC
Applicant/owner Dan Schimmel of the Mines Golf Club LLC is scheduled for a Mineral
Mining Review Board (MMRB) meeting to consider the formal close-out of mining activities
pursuant to Section 34-308 of the Walker City Code. The subject properties are located at
2301 and 2311 O'Brien Rd SW, also known on the tax rolls as 41-13-27-300-002/025.
Meeting requested by operator Dan Schimmel. Postcards were sent to neighboring property
owners within 500’ of the site identifying this February 18, 2020 meeting. The case will be
reviewed as a public hearing.
