Sidewalk Improvement Plan Adjournment Page 1 of 4  MOBILITY & INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES COMMISSION CHAMBERS MONDAY, MARCH 13, 2023 5:00 PM Call Meeting to Order - Record Attendance a) Committee members: Steve Gilbert (Chair), Roxanne Deschaine, and Elaina Huizenga-Chase City Staff: Assistant City Manager Frank Wash and Finance Director/Treasurer Dan Devries Discussion Items a) Discussion on Committee Jurisdiction Commissioner Gilbert gave an overview of the purpose of the committee. He stated that the plan for the committee is to be more involved with City decisions related to infrastructure including the City's Capital Improvement Plan, sidewalk plans, paving plans, and the Parks Master Plan. b) City of Walker Capital Improvement Plan D. Devries reviewed the City's Capital Improvement Plan with the Committee focusing on projects related to: • Parks & Rec, Sidewalks, and Trails • Roads, Traffic Signals, and Streetlighting • Bridges, Drains, and Utility S. Gilbert requested a map of the current public water infrastructure and potential connections. F. Wash suggested a presentation be given by engineering on this matter. S. Gilbert referenced opportunities for connection between 3 Mile Rd. and Richmond and Alpine to West River Drive. Discussion was held. Discussion took place about Parks/sidewalks/trails plans. The committee agreed to hold a session related to this. It was suggested to establish a sinking fund for sidewalks. E. Chase suggested updating the estimates of the sidewalk fund and plan. Manager Wash will create a Committee Scope (attached) to guide future meetings.
