Discussion Items
1. NB US-131 to WB I-96 Bridge Project: MDOT is planning to perform
substantial repairs to the NB US-131 to WB I-96 bridge in 2024. This
bridge crosses over West River Dr. MDOT will provide a brief
presentation and answer questions related to this project.
2. Remembrance / Kinney Traffic Signal: Discussion will occur on two
items related to the new traffic signal at Remembrance and Kinney: 1)
Should the near-side traffic signals on NB and SB Kinney (which act as
reminders of the far-side traffic signals and control through and left turn
movements) be removed in an effort to reduce confusion with the right-
turn lane Yield signs? 2) Should the bike lanes on the Remembrance
legs of the intersection have solid green paint added to them (per the
original plans) or remain marked as-is with white lines and bike
symbols?
3. Lincoln Lawns / Marlboro Stop Signs: With recent and upcoming
developments in this area, stop signs may be needed at the
intersection of Lincoln Lawns and Marlboro. Discussion will occur on
whether or not a stop signs are needed, and which legs of the
intersection should be required to stop.
4. Macey No Outlet Sign: Kim Unrath, 3878 Macy, has requested that a
No Outlet sign be installed for the Macey cul-de-sac.

6. Informational Items:
1. GVMC Near-Miss Tool: GVMC recently released a near-miss
reporting tool. The general public can use this tool to
anonymously report near-miss crashes. GVMC shares the
collected data with local municipalities on a quarterly basis.
GVMC also stores the collected data for future analysis, in an
effort to identify locations for potential safety improvement
projects.
