Lake Michigan / Ferndale Traffic Signal: A discussion will occur regarding pedestrian crossing safety at this intersection. Crash history, intersection lighting, crosswalk markings, and traffic signal timing will be reviewed. Coordination with the future traffic signal at Lake Michigan and LaSalle will also be reviewed. 2. Maplerow - South of Leonard Traffic Calming: Melvin Hutchens, 1081 Maplerow, has requested that speed humps be installed to slow speeding vehicle on Maplerow, south of Leonard. 3. Maplerow - North of Richmond Traffic Calming: Michael Tietz, 2178 Maplerow, and Rob Flermoen, 2161 Maplerow, have requested that speed humps be installed to slow speeding vehicles on Maplerow, north of Richmond; or that a 3-way stop be installed at the intersection of Maplerow and Kinview. They are concerned specifically about cut- through vehicles the utilize Maplerow to avoid the traffic signal at Remembrance and Kinney. 4. Manning - Disabled Child Warning Sign: Kelsey Ulberg, 1941 Maning, has requested that a warning sign be installed to alert drivers to her child who has been diagnosed with vision impairment, epilepsy, and autism. The Ulberg’s health care case manager also contacted the Engineering Department to second this request. The family and health care team are working with the child to encourage him not to play near the road. The sign is being requested as an added precaution. Page 1 of 23 5. North Wilson - Pedestrian Crossing Warning Sign: Dan Groszkiewicz, Kenona Industries, 3044 Wilson, is concerned about employees crossing North Wilson in order to travel between the two Kenona buildings, which are located across the street from each other. A pedestrian crossing warning sign has been requested in an effort to improve pedestrian crossing safety. 6. 7.
