PROCEDURAL ITEMS
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Allen Todd called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m. Present were the Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem
Zane Hedgecock, Council Members, Lynn Reece, Mark Swaim, and Councilwoman Cindy Johnson.
Councilman Steve Yokeley was absent along with the Town’s Attorney, Jay Wagner. The Town Clerk,
Donna Alwine was present.
After an invocation by Mayor Pro Tem Hedgecock, Councilman Lyn Reece led the pledge allegiance to
the flag.
MOTION FOR APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Councilman Mark Swaim moved to approve the agenda. Councilman Lynn Reece seconded, and the
motion passed unanimously. With a 4 to 0 vote.
MOTION FOR APPROVAL OF DRAFT MINUTES
February 14, 2017 - Regular Meeting Minutes
MINUTES for the above meeting were unanimously approved on a motion by Councilman Lynn Reece,
seconded by Councilwoman Cindy Johnson. With a 4 to 0 vote.
PUBLIC SESSION
There were no speakers
BUSINESS TO BE DISCUSSED AND/OR ACTED UPON:
1. Councilwoman Johnson gave an update on the town hall park – all drawings are
complete and ready to be placed out for contractor bids. By the end of next month
hoping to have a contractor chosen to begin breaking ground for phase #1.

1. Finance Update
Mark Swaim gave a brief update on the finances of the Town from the balance sheet ending
February 28, 2017.

CAPITAL FUND $ 401,910.91
MONEY MARKET $ 248,916.11
TAXES RECEIVABLE $ 8,309.00

2. MPO – High Point
Councilman Lynn Reece attended the MPO meeting that met on February 28, 2017. There was
nothing discussed in regards to the Town of Wallburg. Roads/bike lanes/walking tracks were
among the discussion of the meeting.
3. MPO - Winston-Salem
Mayor Todd read over the agenda items that were discussed at the latest Winston Salem MPO
meeting. There was nothing discussed in regards tothe Town of Wallburg.
OTHER INFORMATION: Mayor Allen Todd reminded citizens to call 911 immediately if see any
suspicious activity relating to break-ins/burglary.
ADJOURNMENT: At 7:13P.M. Councilman Lynn Reece moved to adjourn the meeting,
Councilwoman Cindy Johnson seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
