Licenses & Franchises Committee Meeting Minutes January 21, 2025 The Clerk called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Present: Dunn, Hanley, Katz, Logan and Vidal. Absent: None. Clerk Wilson opened the meeting with accepting nominations for a chair person for the Committee for the 2025 year. Councillor Dunn nominated Councillor Vidal. With no further nominations Councillor Katz moved to close nominations. The motion was approved by a voice vote. The Clerk stated that as your name is called state the name of the person you would like to nominate as Chair for 2025. Dunn – Vidal Bill Hanley - Carlos Vidal Paul Katz – Carlos Vidal Robert Logan – Carlos Vidal Carlos Vidal – Carlos Vidal With a total of five votes for Carlos Vidal Councillor Vidal was nominated as the 2025 Chair of the Licensees & Franchises Committee. Chairman Vidal took the Chair. Councillor Logan moved approval of the minutes from 12/23/2024. The motion was approved by a voice vote. First agenda item: Class 2 Renewal at 712 Moody Street for Jofi Enterprises, Inc. Councillor Logan moved approval of the renewal. The motion was approved by a voice vote and matter was approved. Second agenda item: Grant of Location at Moody & Carter Streets for Eversource Jacque Duffy, representing Eversource spoke on the petition. She will email back the answers to the questions related to cabinet, pedestal, map etc. all asked of her in Committee. Councillor Logan moved to table the matter. The motion was approved by a voice vote and grant of location was tabled. Councillor Logan moved to collectively take four lodging houses off the table; 10-12 Maple St, 21-23 Pine St, 755 Main St, 107 Adams St. The motion was approved by a voice vote. Councillor Logan moved approval of the renewals. The motion was approved by a voice vote and matters were approved. With no further matters Councillor Hanley moved to adjourn.
