Warrensburg Convention & Visitors Bureau Special Meeting Minutes Zoom 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2024 A special meeting of the Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau was held by Zoom on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 9:02 a.m. with President Tom Koeingsfeld presiding. Roll was called as follows: Present: Tom Koenigsfeld, Ginny McTighe, Dana Phelps, and Diane Whitworth; and exofficio member Jim Kushner Absent: Kelly Brooks, JonAllen Cocumelli, and Diane Thompson; exofficio members Chris Deal and Danielle Dulin The adoption of the agenda was considered. McTighe made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Whitworth. Motion passed. The WCVB Director presented an advertising opportunity with Kansas City’s Fox 4 TV Channel for their Zip Trip Series summer 2024. The Weather Sponsorship for the series is $14,500. It would include three commercials produced by Fox 4 to be shown throughout the summer on days when they are out on Zip Trip assignments. This would be Fridays from May 31-August 16. Kushner made a motion to approve the sponsorship of the Zip Trip Weather segment for summer 2024 for an expense of $14,500. The motion was seconded by Phelps. Motion passed. The WCVB Director presented a proposal from Enneking Construction for emergency repairs to the Warrensburg Visitors Center, 205 N Holden Street, in the amount of $6,495. The repairs would be completed to end the source of the leaking occurring in west end of the lower level and southeast wall in the upper level along with the replacement of the single pane glass in the exterior door to double pane glass. The repairs would include removal of old gutter, installation of new gutter, installation of fascia, repairing mortar/stucco, and application of sealant. The work comes with a one-year warranty. Whitworth made a motion approving the director to sign the proposal with Enneking Construction for $6,495. Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 9:17 a.m.
