Warrensburg Convention & Visitors Bureau Finance Committee Meeting Notes 9 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024 Via Zoom A meeting of the Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau Finance Committee was held via Zoom on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 9:04 a.m. Roll was called as follows: Present: Cody Jolliff, Dana Phelps and Diane Thompson The adoption of the agenda was considered. Phelps made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Thompson. Motion passed. The appointment of a committee chair was discussed. Dana Phelps, WCVB Treasurer, was nominated by Thompson. Phelps agreed to serve. Jolliff seconded the motion. Motion carried. The WCVB Director provided an overview of the organization’s finances and financial processes including the budget process. The committee discussed Goal 3 (Operational) in the WCVB Strategic Plan. The committee directed the WCVB Director to investigate investment opportunities following the City’s approval. As per the WCVB’s contract for services with the City of Warrensburg, the WCVB follows the City’s financial policies including investments. The WCVB Director has a meeting with City Administration and Finance representatives on Friday, October 18, 2024. The WCVB Director will work with the City’s Finance Department to draft a financial manual and financial goals for approval by the WCVB Board May 2025, prior to the 2025-2026 Budget Process. A future meeting will be scheduled to discuss investment opportunities, if applicable. Meeting adjourned at 9:48 a.m.
