Coordinating Committee David Domenici Confirmation Resolution of 2022”; PR 24-934, “Students in the Care of D.C. Coordinating Committee Dr. Felecia Hayward, Ed.D. Confirmation Resolution of 2022”; PR 24-935, “Students in the Care of D.C. Coordinating Committee Kesha Fitzhugh Confirmation Resolution of 2022”; PR 24-936, “Students in the Care of D.C. Coordinating Committee L. Danielle Robinette Confirmation Resolution of 2022”; PR 24-937, “Students in the Care of D.C. Coordinating Committee LaShunda Hill Confirmation Resolution of 2022”; and PR 24-938, “Students in the Care of D.C. Coordinating Committee Claire Blumenson Confirmation Resolution of 2022.” The hearing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, via Zoom videoconference. The stated purpose of this hearing is to receive testimony on Mayor Muriel Bowser’s six nominees to the Students in the Care of D.C. Coordinating Committee. In particular, this hearing will review PR 24-933 through PR 24-238, to confirm David Domenici, Dr. Felecia Hayward, Kesha Fitzhugh, L. Danielle Robinette, LaShunda Hill, and Claire Blumenson for appointment to the Students in the Care of D.C. Coordinating Committee, respectively. These nominees, if confirmed will be the first-ever appointments to the committee. This hearing will serve as an opportunity for the Committee to hear from the public with regard to the fitness of these six individuals to serve on the Students in the Care of D.C. Coordinating Committee. Those who wish to testify must register at http://www.ChairmanMendelson.com/testify by the close of business on Monday, October 31, 2022. Testimony is limited to four minutes; less time will be allowed if there are a large number of witnesses. Witnesses who anticipate needing spoken language interpretation, or require sign language interpretation, are requested to inform the Committee office of the need as soon as possible but no later than five business days before the proceeding. We will make every effort to fulfill timely requests, although alternatives may be offered. Requests received in less than five business days may not be fulfilled. The hearing will be conducted virtually on the Internet utilizing Zoom video conference technology. Testimony should be submitted in writing to cow@dccouncil.gov in advance of the hearing. Written testimony will be posted publicly to http://www.chairmanmendelson.com/testimony. If you are unable to testify at the hearing, written statements are encouraged and will be made a part of the official record. Statements for the record should be submitted to cow@dccouncil.gov or left by voicemail by calling (202) 430-6948 (up to 3 minutes which will be transcribed). The record will close at 5:00pm on Monday, November 14, 2022.
