Village of Waterford Finance Committee Meeting Minutes November 9th, 2020 Held via Teleconference and at Village Hall Ewert called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. Present: Adam Jaskie, Andrew Ewert, Brian Lauer, Don Houston, Troy McReynolds Also present: Zeke Jackson, Colleen Schauer, Michelle Vandehey Minutes: Houston motioned to approve the 10-22-2020 minutes. Second by McReynolds. Motion carried. Financials: Administrator Jackson gave an overview of the 2021 Budget, including the Village Levy and 2020 tax rates. Discussion was had on Library Operations, Capital, Water and Sewer and rates. Motion by Houston to recommend on to the Village Board the proposed Sewer rates. Second by McReynolds. All aye. Motion carried. Closed session: Motion by Lauer to adjourn into closed session at 5:49 pm. Second by Jaskie. Roll call vote: Jaskie – aye; Ewert – aye; Lauer – aye, Houston – aye, McReynolds - aye. Motion carried. Motion by Jaskie to reconvene into open session at 6:20 pm. Second by Lauer. All aye. Motion carried. Motion by Lauer to recommend onto the board the items discussed in closed session regarding personnel. Second by Jaskie. All aye. Motion carried. Motion by Lauer to adjourn at 6:24 pm. Consider a motion to convene into Executive Session pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(c) to discuss personnel and employee benefits and, 19.85(e) Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session. 4. Consider a motion to reconvene into open session. 5. Consider a motion for action related to items deliberated in closed session. Adjournment Public Notice Questions regarding the nature of the agenda items or more detail on the agenda items listed above scheduled to be considered by the governmental body listed above can be directed to Zeke Jackson, Village Administrator at 262-806-1750 or at zjackson@waterfordwi.org. It is possible that members of and possibly a quorum of members of other governmental bodies of the municipality may be in attendance at the above-stated meeting to gather information; no action will be taken by any governmental body at the above-stated meeting other than the governmental body specifically referred to above in this notice. Motion carried. 13 14 Financials: Administrator Jackson gave updates on the following sections of the budget: Library 15 Operations, Library Donations, Library Impact Fees, Library Capital, Public Works, Parks, Recycling, 16 Park Impact Fees, Conservation and Development, Curb Appeal, Hotel Room Tax – Promo. 17 Motion by Lauer to send on to the Village Board the reviewed sections of the budget.
