Village of Waterford Finance Committee Meeting Minutes October 3rd, 2022 Village Hall, 123 N River St. Chair Jaskie called the meeting to order at 5:03 pm. Present: Don Houston, Adam Jaskie, Andrew Ewert Excused: Troy McReynolds, Brian Lauer Also present: Michelle Vandehey, Danielle Brown, Zeke Jackson, Interim Fire Chief Tom Nehring, Fire Chief Kevin Hafemann Minutes: Ewert motioned to approve the 09.26.2022 minutes. Second by Houston. All aye. Motion carried. New Business: 1. Draft Budget: Discussion was had on draft budget sections: 100 Fire, 214 EMS, 215 Fire Department 2% Dues, 221 Fire Donations, 276 Fire Impact Fees, 220 EMS 102 Grant, 100 Court & Police, 300 Debt Service, Debt Master Schedule Motion by Ewert to recommend review of all Fire & EMS budgeted sections by Interim Fire Chief Tom Nehring and Fire Chief Kevin Hafemann and bring updated conclusions to admin staff at a future time. Second by Houston. All aye. Motion carried. Motion by Houston to adjourn at 6:05pm. Second by Ewert. All aye. Motion carried. It is possible that members of and possibly a quorum of members of other governmental bodies of the municipality may be in attendance at the above-stated meeting to gather information; no action will be taken by any governmental body at the above-stated meeting other than the governmental body specifically referred to above in this notice. Upon reasonable notice, a good faith effort will be made to accommodate the needs of disabled individuals through sign language interpreters or other auxiliary aid at no cost to the individual to participate in public meetings. Due to the difficulty in finding interpreters, requests should be made as far in advance as possible preferably a minimum of 48 hours. Draft Budget: Discussion was had on draft budget sections: 100 Public Works, 600 Water Fund, 17 610 Sewer Fund, Water Capital Improvement Funding Plan, Sewer Capital Improvement Funding 18 Plan, 225 Recycling, 100 Parks, 275 Park Impact Fees, 233 Riverside Docks, DPW/Utilities Wage 19 Sheet, 223 Hotel Room Tax, 229 Curb Appeal, 224 Flex Plan, 100 Conservation & Development. 20 21 Motion by Ewert to recommend approval to the Village Board for the discussed sections of the 2023 22 Budget as part of the 2023 Budget Adoption Process. Second by McReynolds. All aye. Motion carried. 23 24 Motion by Ewert to adjourn at 5:46 pm. Second by Houston. All aye.
