Meeting Minutes
Monday, June 3, 2013, 6:00 p.m.
Personnel Committee Present: Jerry Filut- Chair, Glen Collins, Tammy Pollnow, Tom Roanhouse
Also present: Rebecca Ewald.
Filut called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Collins moved and Pollnow seconded to approve the May 20, 2013 minutes. Motion carried 4-0.
Roanhouse moved and Collins seconded to adjourn into Closed Session for the purpose of considering hiring and
compensation for the DPW/Utility Clerk position in accordance with 19.85(1)(c) and review of disciplinary action for a
specific employee in accordance with 19.85(1)(b) by roll call vote:
Filut – aye Pollnow – aye Roanhouse – aye Collins – aye
The Committee discussed the position, compensation and disciplinary action.
Collins moved and Pollnow seconded to reconvene into open session at 6:46 p.m.
Collins moved and Pollnow seconded to recommend hiring Stephanie Charapata at a rate of $15.50 per hour for the
position of DPW/Utility Clerk. Motion carried 4-0.
Collins inquired as to whether the Village had an ordinance that regulated the placement of sex offenders. The Village
does not have an ordinance; however, the possibility of an ordinance was reviewed a few years back and at that time
the Village Board opted not to draft an ordinance.
The Committee agreed that their next monthly meeting would be held on Thursday, June 13 at 6:00 p.m. and the
regularly scheduled June 17 meeting would be canceled.
Collins moved and Pollnow seconded to adjourn at 6:52 p.m. Motion carried.

The Personnel Committee will hold a meeting on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. in the Village Hall,
123 N. River Street, Waterford, WI.
AGENDA
Call to Order
Approval of the Minutes
1. Review and act on June 3, 2013 meeting minutes.
Old Business
2. Review and provide recommendation on work plans and appointments for fire and rescue
command staff.
3. Review of municipal survey of specific public works department language within the personnel
manual.
New Business
Closed Session
4. The meeting will adjourn into Closed Session for the purpose of considering Teamsters No. 43
union proposal in accordance with Wisconsin Statute s. 19.82(1), 19.85 (1)(e) and 19.86.
Reconvene – Open Session
5. Review and provide recommendation on personnel manual modifications as it relates to the
public works department.
6. Review and possible recommendation regarding union proposal and negotiations with
Teamsters.
Adjourn
There may be a quorum of Village Trustees present, which would constitute a public meeting of the
Village Board
