Personnel Committee Official Meeting Minutes Monday, November 25, 2013, 6:00 p.m. Present: Jerry Filut- Chair, Tami Pollnow, Tom Roanhouse and Glen Collins Excused: Linda Laib Also present: Rebecca Ewald, Jeff Dolezal, Jim Bergles Filut called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m. Collins moved and Pollnow seconded to adjourn the meeting into closed session for the purpose of reviewing performance of specific public works personnel in accordance with 19.85(1)(c) by roll call vote at 5:04 p.m.: Roanhouse – aye Collins – aye Filut – aye Pollnow – aye The Committee discussed specific personnel performance. Collins moved and Pollnow seconded to reconvene into open session at 5:43 p.m. Collins moved and Pollnow seconded to recommend termination of a Tim McMahon, Equipment & Water Operator, based upon the information provided by his representative with the Teamster Union by phone call. Motion carried. Pollnow moved and Collins seconded to recommend utilization of the current hiring practice and advertise for the position of equipment and water operator with a rate of $18.00 - $24.17 subject to obtaining the required certifications within a two year time period and subject to any future certifications required by the Village of Waterford. The notice should be posted internally and externally running consecutively with an application due date of December 9. The Administrator should also post the position on the Wisconsin rural water and wastewater operator association websites. Motion carried.
