Village of Waterford Fire Commission June 16th , 2020 Minutes Present: Ken Thiede, Janice Piper, Jennifer Denton, James Zuehlke Excused: Robert Mueller Also present: Asst Chief Tom Nehring, Colleen Schauer Zuehlke called the meeting to order at 5:02pm. Reading and Approval of Minutes: Motion by Theide to approve the May 27th, 2020 minutes with one correction to attendees. Second by Piper. All aye. Motion carried. New Business: Review and act on applications for positions with the department. Motion to adjourn into closed session by Thiede for the purposes of considering Fire & EMS staff hiring and other business at 5:16 pm, second by Denton. All aye. Motion carried. Roll call vote: Thiede - aye; Denton – aye; Piper – aye; Zuehlke. Motion carried. Denton motioned to reconvene into open session at 5:27 pm; second by Theide. All aye. Motion carried. Piper motioned to add Mayo to the eligibility list; second by Thiede. All aye. Motioned carried. Asst Chief Tom Nehring indicated it is his intent to hire Mayo. Piper motioned to accept Chief Mueller’s intent to hire Mayo. Second by Theide. All aye, Motion carried. Motion to adjourn at 5:30 pm by Denton; second by Thiede. Motion carried.
