Village of Waterford Fire Commission September 9 th, 2021 Minutes Present: Janice Piper, Jennifer Denton, Ken Thiede Excused: James Zuehlke Also present: Chief Rick Mueller, Colleen Schauer Piper called the meeting to order at 5:02 pm. Reading and Approval of Minutes: Motion by Denton to approve the August, 10th, 2021 minutes with changes to line 4. Second by Thiede. All aye. Motion carried. New Business: Review and act on applications for positions with the department. Motion to adjourn into closed session by Thiede for the purposes of considering Fire & EMS staff hiring and other business at 5:05 pm, second by Denton. All aye. Motion carried. Roll call vote: Thiede - aye; Piper – aye, Zuehlke- aye. Motion carried. Thiede motioned to reconvene into open session at 5:45 pm; second by Denton. All aye. Motion carried. Motion by Denton to add Hood and Ocampo to the eligibility list; second by Thiede. All aye. Motioned carried. Chief Mueller indicated it is his intent to hire Hood and Ocampo. Denton motioned to accept Chief Mueller’s intent to hire Hood and Ocampo. Second by Thiede. All aye, Motion carried. Motion to adjourn at 5:47 pm Thiede; second by Denton. Motion carried.
