Village of Waterford Fire Commission November 9 th, 2021 Minutes Present: Janice Piper, Ken Thiede, James Zuehlke Absent: Jennifer Denton Also present: Chief Rick Mueller, Colleen Schauer, President Don Houston Piper called the meeting to order at 5:01 pm. Reading and Approval of Minutes: Motion by Thiede to approve September 21st, 2021 minutes. Second by Piper. All aye. Motion carried. New Business: Review and act on applications for positions with the department. Motion to adjourn into closed session by Piper for the purposes of considering Fire & EMS staff hiring and other business at 5:04 pm, second by Thiede. All aye. Motion carried. Roll call vote: Thiede - aye; Piper – aye, Zuehlke- aye. Motion carried. Thiede motioned to reconvene into open session at 5:46 pm; second by Piper. All aye. Motion carried. Motion by Piper to add Dominguezaniles and Kingstad to the eligibility list; second by Thiede. All aye. Motioned carried. Chief Mueller indicated it is his intent to hire Dominguezaniles and Kingstad. Thiede motioned to accept Chief Mueller’s intent to hire Dominguezaniles and Kingstad. Second by Piper. All aye, Motion carried. Motion by Piper to direct staff to advertise full time positions as appropriate. Second by Thiede. All aye. Motion carried.
