Village of Waterford Fire Commission
August 9 th, 2022 Minutes
Present: Bonnie Schauer, James Zuehlke, Janice Piper, Jennifer Denton, Ken Thiede
Also present: Colleen Schauer, Interim Chief Tom Nehring
Zuehlke called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.
New Business:
Motion to adjourn into closed session by Schauer for the purposes of considering Fire & EMS
staff
hiring and other business at 5:33 pm, second by Denton. All aye. Motion carried.
Roll call vote: Thiede – aye, Schauer - aye. Zuehlke – aye. Motion carried.
Denton motioned to reconvene into open session at 6:58pm; second by Piper. All aye. Motion
carried.
Motion by Piper to create an eligibility list for Fire Chief and to name Kevin Hafemann and
Bruce Peterson to the eligibility list for Fire Chief. Second by Denton. All aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Schauer to table the 07-12-2022 Fire Commission Minutes. Second by Thiede. All
aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Schauer to adjourn at 6:59 pm; second by Thiede. Motion carried.
