Village of Waterford Fire Commission March 21 , 2023 Minutes Present: James Zuehlke, Bonnie Schauer, Ken Thiede Excused: Janice Piper, Jennifer Denton Also present: Rachel Ladewig, Chief Kevin Hafemann Zuehlke called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm. Reading and Approval of Minutes: Motion by Thiede to approve the 2-14-23 Fire Commission Minutes. Second by Schauer. All aye. Motion carried. Closed Session : Motion by James to adjourn into closed session for the purposes of considering Fire & EMS staff hiring and other business at 5:32 pm, second by Schauer. All Aye. Motion carried. Schauer motioned to reconvene into open session at 5:45 pm, second by Thiede. All aye. Motion carried. Chief Hafemann indicated his attention to promote Jarod Kimber and Dalton Brandt to Lieutenant. Motion by Schauer to promote Jarod Kimber and Dalton Brandt to Lieutenant, second by Thiede. All aye. Motion carried. James Zuehlke expressed his intension to step down from the Fire Commission by May of this year. Motion by Thiede to adjourn at 5:57 pm, second by Schauer. All aye. Motion carried.
