Village of Waterford Fire Commission
April 11 , 2023 Minutes
Present: Janice Piper, Jennifer Denton and Bonnie Schauer (via audio conference)
Also present: Rachel Ladewig, Chief Kevin Hafemann
Piper called the meeting to order at 5:42 pm.
Reading and Approval of Minutes: Motion by Schauer, second by Denton to move the
approval of the 3-14-23 Fire Commission Minutes to the next meeting. All aye. Motion carried.
Closed Session :
Motion by Denton, second by Schauer to adjourn into closed session for the purposes of
considering Fire & EMS staff hiring and other business at 5:44 pm. All Aye. Motion carried.
Schauer motioned, second by Denton to reconvene into open session at 6:46 pm. All aye.
Motion carried.
Motion by Schauer, second by Denton to follow the Chief’s recommendation on disciplinary
action against a fire department personnel. Schauer-aye, Denton–aye, Piper-ney. Motion
carried.
Motion by Schauer, second by Denton to adjourn at 6:53 pm. All aye. Motion carried.

the Fire and Rescue department in accordance with 19.85(1)(c).
Reconvene into Open Session
3. Review and act on employment for the department.
