VILLAGE OF WATERFORD Public Works & Utilities Committee Meeting Minutes Held at the DPW building August 15th, 2022 Meeting was called to order by Chair Koeller at 4:00pm. Present: Don Houston, Fred Koeller, Carl Oberhart Excused: Pat Goldammer, Kim Migazzi Others present: Mike Sponholtz, Rick Huening, Zeke Jackson, Kathy Lindbloom, Judy Gambrel, Gary Tilleros, Bob Gariepy Minutes: Motion by Houston to approve the 07.15.2022 minutes. Second by Oberhardt. All aye. Motion carried. Events: Motion by Houston to approve the WUHS Homecoming Parade and Lion’s Tractorcade and Chicken BBQ. Second by Oberhardt. All aye. Motion carried. New Business: 1- Old Settler’s Cemetery: Judy Gambrel, Gary Tilleros, and Bob Gariepy gave a presentation and updates on the improvements being made at the Old Settler’s Cemetery. Motion by Houston for DPW to order a survey of the cemetery. Second by Koeller. All aye. Motion carried. 2- Rental Fees: Motion by Houston to table until the September meeting. Second by Oberhardt. All aye. Motion carried. 3- VFW: Motion by Oberhardt to add the FRW auxiliary to the list of nonprofits for using the Seidel building. Second by Houston. All aye. Motion carried. 4- Sponsorship: Motion by Koeller to develop criteria for sponsorships in Ten Club Park. Second by Oberhardt. All aye. Motion carried. 5- Hydrants: Motion to not allow the public use of fire hydrants for watering landscape by Koeller. Second by Oberhardt. All aye. Motion carried. 6- Cub Scouts: Motion by Houston to allow DPW to use staff discretion to approve installments by local Cub Scout groups on a one by one case. Second by Koeller. All aye.
