Watertown City Council Work Session Mayor Steve Washburn Deborah Everson Lindsay Guetzkow Adam Pawelk Michael Walters 12/8/2020 - Minutes 1. Call To Order And Roll Call Mayor Steve Washburn called the City Council budget information session to order at 6:30 p.m. on December 8, 2020 via Zoom. Council Members present: Washburn, Michael Walters, Adam Pawelk, and Lindsay Guetzkow. City Staff present: City Administrator Shane Fineran. 2. New Business 2.I. 2021 City Council Liaison Assignments City Administrator Shane Fineran asked the City Council for feedback on their liaison roles for 2021. There will be an opening on the EDA and Fire Advisory Board due to the resignation of Council Member Deborah Everson. Mike Walters would like to continue to serve as Deputy Mayor and serve on the Planning Commission. Walters said he has some flexibility for morning EDA meetings as well. Council Member Pawelk would like to attend an evening meeting due to his work schedule. Fineran said that new Council member, Dan Schuette has shown interest in the Planning Commission as well as the Economic Development Authority. Fineran said the Planning Commission can be a good fit for a new council member to see development in the community from start to finish. Lindsay Guetzkow expressed that she would like to continue to serve on the EDA and the Community Education Advisory Board. Mayor Steve Washburn suggested that Walters join the EDA in order to free up a spot for Schuette on the Planning Commission. Walters agreed that Schuette could learn a lot being on the Planning Commission. City Administrator Fineran explained the capacity of the Fire Advisory Board. He explained they are meeting about twice a year. Walters suggested adding one more Watertown vote to the Fire Advisory Board to more accurately represent the population of Watertown.
