Call To Order And Roll Call Mayor Steve Washburn called the Watertown City Council work session to order at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday January 11, 2022, in the council chambers of City Hall. Council Members Present: Washburn, Mike Walters, Dan Schuette, Adam Pawelk, and Lindsay Guetzkow. Staff Present: City Administrator Jake Foster and City Planner Mark Kaltsas. 2. New Business 2.I. Watertown – PUD Development Standards City Planner Mark Kaltsas addressed council to discuss Planned Unit Developments (PUD’s) standards within Watertown. Kaltsas explained the historic use of PUD’s within the city. He said there has not been any major developments within the past 10-12 years so the PUD standards have not been used. PUD’s allow for preservation of natural resources, clustering of homes on smaller lots, consideration of unique housing product, integration of several types of housing within the same development. The physical design standards for the PUD’s are based on the land use as guided by the Comprehensive Plan. Kaltsas said PUD’s are processed the same as a standard subdivision or development but requires rezoning to an existing PUD or a new PUD. Watertown currently has the following PUD districts: • Forest Hills • Tuscany Village • Riverpointe • Rosewood Estates  • Tuscany Village • Riverpointe • Rosewood Estates • Industrial Park Guetzkow asked how the City of Watertown’s process compares to other city development processes. Kaltsas said Watertown is in line with neighboring communities. Foster said this was an informative session to prepare for when the next development begins in Watertown. 3.
