VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE Parks and Recreation Committee August 6, 2025 The meeting was called to order by Sam Kaufmann at 5:30 p.m. PRESENT: Sam Kaufmann, Chris Zellner, Bob Khouri, Tim Luttrell, John Pomeranke, and Erin Moran. STAFF PRESENT: Sue McDade – Community Services Director, Bill Frederick – Director of Public Works, Ryan Endres, Public Works/Parks Superintendent; Jeff Skoug – Recreation Supervisor, Carson Duerkop – Recreation Assistant ALSO PRESENT: Matt Saltzberry, D’Onofrio Kotktke. MINUTES A motion by Chris Zellner/ Sam Kaufmann to approve the minutes of June 4, 2025, Park and Recreation Committee meeting, was approved. PUBLIC COMMENT There was no public comment. BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Consider Agreement with American Ramp Company for Design Services for the Lions Park Skate Park. McDade reviewed the proposal that was presented, including the potential next steps for implementation if approved by the Committee at a later date. Recreation Assistant, Carson Duerkop shared the results of the skate park survey that was completed earlier this summer. Motion by Chris Zellner/John Pomeranke to approve the proposal from American Ramp Company for concept and design services for the Lions park skatepark – total cost 4,000, was approved. 2. Consider recommendation for Naming the Neighborhood Park (Outlot 18 & 26) in the Heritage Hills Subdivision. Motion by Sam Kaufmann/Erin Moran to approve naming the neighborhood park, located on Outlot 18 & 26 Pinnacle Park, was approved. Park and Recreation Committee Minutes – August 6, 2025 – pg. 2 3. Update on Water Wheel Park Planning Project. Bill Frederick provided an update on the planning efforts related to Water Wheel Park. He explained that a firm has been hired to complete the wetland delineation project – work is scheduled to begin shortly. A neighborhood input meeting has tentatively been scheduled for Wednesday, September 3. ADJOURNMENT A motion by Chris Zellner/Sam Kaufmann to adjourn was approved.
