VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE Parks and Recreation Committee July 7, 2021 July 7, 2021, Parks & Recreation Committee meeting was called to order by Gary Herzberg at 5:31 pm. PRESENT: Gary Herzberg, Chris Zellner, Phil Williams, Bob Khouri, Susan Rather, and Tim Luttrell. ALSO PRESENT: Randy Herbrand – Waunakee Boys Youth Lacrosse Sue McDade - Community Services Director, Bill Frederick – Director of Public Works, Rick Moran – Public Works/Parks Supervisor. Ryan Endres – Public Works/Parks Crew Leader, and Jeff Skoug – Recreation Program Supervisor. MINUTES A motion by Phil Willems/Chris Zellner to approve the minutes of the June 2, 2021 Park and Recreation Committee meeting was approved. PUBLIC COMMENT Bob Khouri commented about the high-quality work that has been completed on the path that leads to the Rotary Pond fishing pier. NEW BUSINESS 1. Consider Request from Waunakee Boys Youth Lacrosse to Place a “Wall Ball” Wall in Tierney Park. Randy Herbrand appeared before the committee to present the proposal for this project. The club is prepared to cover the entire cost of the project.  Motion by Phil Willems/Tim Luttrell to recommend approval of the Waunakee Boys Youth Lacrosse request to place a hitting wall in Tierney Park, was approved. 2. Consider Updates to the Parks PAYGO Project List Bill shared with the committee the details of the project added to the list - the repair to the stone monument located in Settlers Park (1709 Blueridge Trail). Motion by Chris Zellner/Phil Willems to approve the updated Parks PAYGO Project List was approved. ADJOURNMENT A motion by Chris Zellner/Susan Rather to adjourn was approved.
