VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE PLAN COMMISSION MEETING 500 West Main Street July 9, 2018 6:00 PM Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Present: Chris Zellner, Sue Springman, Joe Zitzelsberger, Brian Malich, Chris Thomas Absent: Pat McGowan, Tim Black Also Present: Kevin Even, Tracy Meinholz, Bryan Kleinmaier, Ed Freer, Todd Schmidt, Carrie Arneson, Maria Patt, Mary Heimbecker, Lynn Wunderli, Heidi Lezotte, Bill Ranguette, Jeff Kossman, Mary Jo Bell, Roberta Bauman, Kathy Kearney, Ann Lewandowski, Mary Ellen Kearney, Carter Rierson. MINUTES 1 August 13, 2018 Motion Thomas, second Zitzelsberger, to approve the minutes from the August 13, 2018 Plan Commission meeting as presented. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT None NEW BUSINESS 1 Discuss and Take Action on Site Plan, Waunakee Pet Wellness Complex, Lot 15, Waunakee Business Park, Phase 2 Motion Malich, second Springman, to conditionally approve the site plan subject to all outstanding items approved by the Village Engineer. Motion carried 5-0. 2 Discuss and Take Action on Request by Best Defense Fire Protection and Security, 300 Moravian Valley Rd., to Install a 70’ Flag Pole Motion Zellner, second Thomas, to approve the sign and flag pole not to exceed 50’ in height. If the applicant wishes to increase the flag pole height, he will need to return to the Plan Commission with additional information. Motion carried 5-0. 3 Discussion of Draft Changes to Zoning Codes Related to Building Height Standards, Lot Area Standards, and Setbacks from More Restrictive Districts Staff presented proposed changes for input from the Commission members. Staff will make requested changes and begin the public process.
