CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL:

MINUTES
1 October 14, 2019
Motion Zitzelsberger, Zeman, to approve the minutes from the October 14, 2019 Plan
Commission meeting as presented. Motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT: None.
PUBLIC HEARING
1 Public Hearing and Discussion/Action on a Request by Jay Kang for a
Conditional Use Permit to Operate a Custom Woodworking Business at 1130
Bluebird Trail
After a brief overview of the business practice by the applicant, the public hearing
was opened at 6:09 p.m. 13 people spoke in support of the applicant, stating that the
business didn’t create excess noise or cause them concerns. One neighbor spoke in
opposition. Staff and Commission members discussed the conditions outlined in the
ordinances and listed in the proposed conditional use permit drafted by the village
attorney. Motion Wallace, second Zitzelsberger, to approve the conditional use
permit with the changes that 1) the closed garage door condition be removed, and 2)
the CUP include a one year review period. Motion carried.
2 Initial Consultation, Cohen-Esrey, Multi-Family Project at 701 W. Main Street
Brian Sweeney presented a concept plan for a 4-story, 50 unit multi-family building.
The applicants are filing for WHEDA approval and will know in March if they will
be moving forward with the project. No action necessary as this is only a
consultation.
REPORT ON WAUNAKEE/WESTPORT ITEMS FOR ACTION
November Joint Plan Commission meeting cancelled.

Motion Thomas, seconded by Runge, to adjourn the meeting at 7:38 p.m.
