Village of Waunakee Police Committee Meeting July 24, 2025 Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Joe Zitzelsberger at 6:00PM. Meeting was at the Waunakee Village Hall. Roll Call Present: Joe Zitzelsberger, John Pomeranke, Erin Moran, Mark Stewart, Jason Whitney, and Chris Doering. Absent: Nila Frye Also present: Chief Adam Kreitzman Public Comment Mary Heimbecker and Susan Gardner both expressed concerns of electric scooters, electric bikes, and electric dirt bikes being ridden in the village. Approval of Minutes Motion by Jason Whitney and second by Erin Moran to approve the minutes of the June 30, 2025 meeting. Motion carried 6-0. New Business Municipal Court Judge Nicholas Rifelj spoke with the Police Committee about an increase in unpaid citations coming through municipal court and specifically from those who are arrested for operating while intoxicated. Representatives for Waunakee Bar Buddies gave an introduction to the Police Committee about the need for their program and process they have been working through to get started. Motion to Adjourn Motion by Erin Moran and second by Mark Stewart to adjourn. Motion carried 6-0. Meeting adjourned at 7:16PM.
