UPDATE ON WOODLAND DRIVE PROJECT
Staff updated the Committee on the delays encountered by the project and gave a tentative
completion date of the end of October. The Committee discussed the necessity of a 3-way stop at
Woodland Dr. and Peaceful Valley Pkwy. for pedestrian crossing. Ms. Springman voiced concerns
with the off-road path not being lighted. There was discussion of pursuing funding for a solar
lighting project.
UPDATE ON 2014 MAIN STREET RECONSTRUCITON
Ms. Springman requested a cost estimate for burying the power lines on Main Street.
The Committee requested a presentation of the Main Street streetscape plan at the next meeting.
DISCUSSION OF PARKING RESTRICTIONS AT SOUTH STREET & KENSINGTON
LANE
Mr. Even informed the Committee members that he had acted on an email request from a
homeowner stating that he and all his neighbors were requesting the curb be painted yellow to
restrict parking in front of their residences across from the school. It was recently brought to light
that the resident requesting this did not have his neighbors consent. Mr. Even requested the police
department to weigh in on the matter, and they agree that the no parking is warranted in this area.
DISCUSSION OF PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON SUNSET LANE FOR TRUCK
LOADING AT PIGGLY WIGGLY
Motion Bolger, second Meske, to approve the no parking as requested by the Waunakee Police
Department from the Piggly Wiggly driveway on the North side of Sunset Lane to the fire hydrant.
