VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE A regular meeting of the Public Works Committee was held Tuesday, November 18, 2014, 6:00 p.m., at 500 W, Main Street, Waunakee, WI. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Springman, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Sue Springman, Gary Herzberg, Chris Zellner, Brian Wallace , Paul Endres, Nila Frye. Absent: Randy Bolger Also present: Kevin Even, Bill Frederick, Tracy Meinholz, Kent Straus. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Herzberg, second Wallace, to approve the October 7, 2014 minutes. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT: None NEW BUSINESS DISCUSSION/ACTION Discussion / Recommendation on a Request for Four-Way Stop at Pasadena and Centennial Parkway Motion Herzberg, second Frye, to reject the request for four-way stop at Pasadena and Centennial, based on recommendation by police department. Motion carried. Discussion / Recommendation on 2015 Public Works Improvement Projects Kent Straus presented plans for pond repairs at Ripp Park as requested at last month’s meeting. The thought is to combine the bidding process with Holiday Drive in 2015 to keep the cost down. 2015 Potential Road Improvement Projects Mr. Even explained that the Village Board added additional funding for 2015 road projects. With updated cost estimates and the added funds, there will be about $250,000 of undesignated funds available. Mr. Even recommended holding back $100,000 for contingencies and opportunities not anticipated, leaving $150,000 for the commission members to allocate. The commission members chose to move Fairview Court from a 2016 project to 2015. Public Works Committee Minutes Page 1 of 2  After a request by Paul Endres and discussion by the commission and engineers, staff directed to review the scope of the Holiday Drive project and determine if the utilities work is warranted.
