PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE
A regular meeting of the Public Works Committee was held
Tuesday, November 24, 2015, 6:00 p.m., at
Waunakee Village Hall
500 West Main Street, Waunakee, WI
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Springman, called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.
Present: Sue Springman, John Laubmeier, Gary Herzberg, Brian Wallace, Paul Endres, Randy
Bolger, Nila Frye.
Absent: None
Also present: Kevin Even, Bill Frederick, Jim Madden, Erica Meganck, Bob Schultz, Charlie
Murty, James & Deniece Schmidt.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion Laubmeier, second Wallace, to approve the September 22, 2015 minutes. Motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
None
NEW BUSINESS DISCUSSION/ACTION
Consider Resident Request to Convert Ashlawn Lane from a Private Drive to a Public Street
The residents of Ashlawn Lane presented a petition to the PWC siting issues with taxes and repairs
for the privately owned roadway. No action taken.
Discussion of 2016 Possible Road Projects
Motion Bolger, second Laubmeier, to approve the allocation of funds as recommended by the
Village Engineer:
1. Additional crack filling and seal coating - $50,000 $300,000
2. Sidewalk repairs – trip hazards - $75,000 $225,000
3. Pedestrian crossings – Each $15,000 Along Main Street $30,000 $195,000
4. Village Center parking lot – Sealcoat $25,000 $25,000 $170,000
5. Pasadena Parkway, Woodland to Centennial Drive - $120,000 $50,000
6. Agnes Avenue, Raymond Drive to 5th Street - $75,000 -($25,000)
7. GRANT MONEY $22,000 roads ($22,000) -($3,000)

Discussion of Implementing Village Forestry Fee
Staff directed to continue researching.
Discussion of Parking Restrictions on Klein Drive
Motion Frye, second Herzberg, to approve installation of 15 minute parking signs on Klein drive
between Reeve Drive and Main Street. Motion carried.

Motion Herzberg, second Bolger, to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m. Motion carried.
