VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE A regular meeting of the Public Works Committee was held Tuesday, February 27, 2018, 6:00 p.m., at Waunakee Village Hall 500 West Main Street, Waunakee, WI CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Springman, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Sue Springman, Gary Herzberg, Sam Ballweg, Nila Frye, Brian Wallace Absent: Dennis Hampton, Joe Olson Also present: Kevin Even, Bill Frederick, Jim Madden, Tracy Meinholz, Kent Straus, John Lindert, Carrie Arneson, Frank & Linda Bergman, Mary Heimbecker, Linda Ashmore, Elana Dresen, Romney & Todd Ludgate, Doug Olsen, Colleen Webster. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Herzberg, second Frye, to approve the January 25, 2018 minutes. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT: None NEW BUSINESS DISCUSSION/ACTION Discussion Action on Woodland Drive Speed Issues Recommended changing stop sign at Peaceful Valley Parkway from a 4-way to a 2-way, and lowering the speed between Century Avenue and South Division Street to 30 MPH. Will wait for input from the Town before making changes. Discuss and Take Action on Final Construction Plans for 2018 Public Works Improvement Projects and Cross Street Extension. Motion Wallace, second Ballweg, to approve the final construction plans for 2018 Public Works Projects and Cross Street Extension as presented. Motion carried. Motion Wallace, second Herzberg, to recommend that the Village Board accept the low bid for these projects as long as it is within budget. Motion carried. Discuss and Take Action on Amendment to Construction Site Erosion Control and Post Construction Stormwater Management Ordinance Jon Lindert, of Strand Associates, was present to answer questions. Motion Herzberg, second Wallace, to recommend approval of the ordinance amendment to the Village Board as presented. Motion carried.
