SENIOR SERVICES COMMITTEE MINUTES Wednesday, September 17, 2025 1. Call to order September 17, 2025, the Senior Services Committee meeting was called to order by Phil Willems at 5:30 p.m. 2. Roll Call Members present: Phil Willems, Kathy Lynch, Sam Kaufmann, Suzanne Matiash, Hyacinth Miller, Erin Moran Also present: Cindy Mosiman 3. Approval of Minutes Motion made by Sam Kaufmann to approve June 18, 2025, minutes second by Kathy Lynch. 4. Old Business 1. Senior Center Program Survey Program survey was shared with the committee, and it was explained that the survey would be distributed in October. The results of the survey will be shared at the November 19 meeting. 5. New Business 1. 2026 Dane County Funding Proposed 2026 Dane County funding for Case Management and Nutrition programs presented. Currently there is a $4,279 cut for Case Management and $1,928 cut for the Nutrition program, this is a total of $6,207. This may mean the surrounding municipalities will see an increase in their payment amounts. 2. 2026 Senior Services Budget Explained that the budget is not complete yet. Along with the decrease in Dane County Funding it was explained that a request for an increase in program expenses is included in the budget. The increased expenses would be covered by increased revenues primarily through trips and programs. 6. Other Business – The finalized copy of the Friends of Waunakee Senior Center brochure was shared with the committee. Senior Services Director Cindy Mosiman announced that she would be retiring in 2026. Her last day will be April 30, 2026. 7.
