VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE SUSTAINABLE WAUNAKEE AD HOC COMMITTEE MEETING 201 N Madison Street August 5, 2025 6:00 PM Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER Meeting was called to order by Chair Frye at 6:02 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Erin Moran, Nila Frye, Joe Zitzelberger, Julie Baldwin, David Ross, Mike Weber, Linda Ashmore, Isak Evron Drangstveit Absent: Carly Eaton, Tom Wilson, Kylee Griffin, Elizabeth Albrecht-Heiks Also Present: Lauren Freeman, Vanessa Abou Harb MINUTES 1 Approve July 1, 2025 Meeting Minutes Motion to approve by Baldwin. Seconded by Weber. Motion carried 8-0. PUBLIC COMMENT There were no public comments. PRESENTATIONS 1 Update on Waunakee Sustainability Plan Vanessa Abou Harb with MSA provided a presentation on the public input and draft actions for the Sustainability Plan. The committee discussed and provided feedback. BUSINESS ITEMS 1 Discuss October 7th Sustainability Fair The committee discussed plans for the Sustainability Fair. 2 Discuss Calendar of Events The committee discussed upcoming events. 3 Discuss and Take Action on Sustainable Waunakee Mission Statement The committee reviewed mission statements from other sustainability committees in the area. No action was taken. 4 Discuss and Take Action on Sustainable Waunakee Budget Request The committee discussed a budget proposed for sustainability initiatives, including a  potential composting program. No action was taken. 5 Discuss Kipp St. Material Recovery Facility (MRF) Tour Recap The committee discussed the MRF tour. ADJOURN Motion to adjourn by Ashmore. Seconded by Ross. Motion carried 8-0.
