VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE SUSTAINABLE WAUNAKEE AD HOC COMMITTEE MEETING 500 West Main Street November 4, 2025 6:00 PM Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER Meeting was called to order by Chair Nila Frye at 6:00 p.m. WELCOME NEW MEMBER ELIZABETH ALBRECHT-HEIKS ROLL CALL Present: Erin Moran, Nila Frye, Tom Wilson, Mike Weber, Linda Ashmore, Isak Drangstveit, Elizabeth Albrecht-Heiks (left meeting at 7:00 p.m.) Also Present: Lauren Freeman, Vanessa Abou Harb, Allison Carlson, Jack Heinemann Absent: Joe Zitzelberger, Julie Baldwin, Carly Eaton, Dave Ross, Kylee Griffin MINUTES Approve September 9, 2025 Meeting Minutes Motion to approve by Wilson. Seconded by Weber. Motion carried 7-0. PUBLIC COMMENT PRESENTATIONS Presentation on Wisconsin Local Government Climate Coalition Allision Carlson provided a presentation on the Wisconsin Local Government Climate Coalition. There was support among the committee for the Village of Waunakee to join the coalition. No action was taken. BUSINESS ITEMS Discuss and Take Action on Waunakee Sustainability Plan The committee discussed edits to the Sustainability Plan. There was consensus to move the plan forward to Village Board, but the committee lacked quorum to take action. Discuss Sustainability Fair The committee discussed what went well with the sustainability fair. No action was taken. Discuss Pumpkin Composting Event  The committee discussed a potential pumpkin smash event next year to encourage pumpkin composting. No action was taken.
