Village of Waunakee and Town of Westport Joint Plan Commission A regular meeting of the Waunakee/Westport Joint Plan Commission was held Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Town of Westport Community Room, 5387 Mary Lake Road. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:06 p.m. Members Present: Ken Sipsma, John Van Dinter, Pat McGowan, Mark McGuire, and Brad Zeman. Members Absent: Dean Grosskopf, Also Present: Tom Wilson, Kevin Even, Tracy Meinholz, Marjorie Ziegler, Richard Dikkers, Roger Sauer, Jim Qualley. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion McGuire, second McGowan, to approve the minutes from the May 13, 2014 meeting. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT None NEW BUSINESS & DISCUSSION / ACTION INITIAL CONSULTATION ON A REZONE REQUEST BY MARJORIE ZIEGLER, SHILLING LANE, TOWN OF WESTPORT Mr. Wilson briefed the commission members on the proposal to rezone the newly created and rezoned lot from ER-1 to A-2 to allow the owners to construct an accessory ag building without a primary residence on the lot. The members were supportive with the condition that the zoning automatically reverts to ER-1 after a certain amount of time. Applicant directed to work with staff on the process. No formal action taken. INITIAL CONSULTATION / DESIGN REVIEW FOR MADISON COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL ADDITION The Town Plan Commission approved the modular classroom building as presented with the addition of a walkway from the current school building to this structure, stairs shown to be the opposite direction, compliance with the Town’s dark skies lighting code, submission of a landscaping plan, compliance with the Town’s storm water standards, a limitation on use and placement of the building to three years from the date of construction, and any further conditions that may be placed by the Waunakee/Westport Joint Planning Committee.
