VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING 500 West Main Street June 10, 2014 - 5:00 PM Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER Village Clerk Julee Helt called the meeting to order at 5:11 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Al Dassow, David Kennedy, Dan Statz (left at 6:02 p.m.), Joe Zitzelsberger, Julee Helt, Tom Wilson (left at 5:20 p.m.) Absent: Kevin Laffey, Robert Freimuth Also Present: Dean Peters, Laurie Helt Motion by Dan Statz, second by Joe Zitzelsberger, to appoint Al Dassow as chair. Motion Passed. For: 6, Against: 0, Absent: 2. Motion by Dan Statz, second by Al Dassow, to appoint David Kenndy as vice-chair. Motion Passed. For: 6, Against: 0, Absent: 2. Tom Wilson left at 5:20 p.m. PUBLIC COMMENT There was no comment from the public. NEW BUSINESS Clerk Helt confirmed proper notice of Board of Review had been given and presented the completed assessment roll to the members of Board of Review. She also confirmed that she, Mr. Zitzelsberger, Mr. Kennedy, and Mr. Wilson had attended Board of Review training per statute. Dean Peters, Village Assessor, stated Open Book had concluded, all reports had been filed with the Department of Revenue, and the Assessor's Affidavit had been signed. Mr. Peters was sworn in by Clerk Helt for the duration of Board of Review. Dan Statz left at 6:02 p.m. 1. Objections for Real Property Assessment - Nakoma Towers, LLC, 240 N. Century Avenue Nakoma Towers, LLC withdrew objection for real property assessment on June 10, 2014 at 12:25 p.m. No action required. 2. Objection for Real Property Assessment - Luxcom Hotels, 904 E. Main Street Luxcom Hotels withdrew objection for real property assessment on June 9, 2014 at 11:09 a.m. No action required. 3. Objection for Real Property Assessment - Southern Wisconsin Foods Real Estate Holding, Co., 510 W. Main Street Southern Wisconsin Foods Real Estate Holding, Co. withdrew objection for real property assessment on June 9, 2014 at 10:35 a.m. No action required. CORRESPONDENCE ADJOURN Motion by David Kennedy, second by Joe Zitzelsberger, after meeting the statutory 2 hour meeting requirement, to adjourn the 2014 Board of Review at 7:11 p.m. Motion Passed.
