VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE BOARD MEETING 500 West Main Street August 19, 2013 - 6:00 PM Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER The August 19, 2013 Village Board meeting was called to order by President John Laubmeier at 6:01 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Phil Willems, Gary Herzberg, Steve Kraus, John Laubmeier Absent: Gary Walden, Chris Zellner, Sue Springman Also Present: Todd Schmidt, Dave Ferris, Kevin Even, Laurie Helt, Gary Acker, Nila Frye, Roberta Baumann CONSENT AGENDA Items under the consent agenda may be acted upon by one motion. If, in the judgment of any Board Member, a consent agenda item needs discussion, the item may be moved to later on the agenda for discussion and/or action. Motion by Phil Willems, second by Gary Herzberg, to approve the Consent Agenda including all items listed below. Motion Passed. For: 4, Against: 0, Absent: 3. 1. Approve August 5, 2013 Village Board Minutes Motion to approve August 5, 2013 Village Board minutes. 2. Approve Routine Bills Motion to approve check numbers ranging from 65083 through 65098 totaling $35,559.56 and check numbers ranging from 65171 through 65175 totaling $1,977.34. 3. Approve Non-Routine Bills Motion to approve check numbers ranging from 65176 through 65195 totaling $34,303.16. 4. Approve Request to Refund License Fees to Village Mobil Motion to approve a prorated refund of weights and measures, alcohol, and cigarette license fees for the 2013-2014 licensing year to Village Mobil. 5. Approve Amendment to Strand Task Order Related to Necessary Temporary Easements for Main Street Enhancements Motion to approve the Strand Task Order to prepare the necessary temporary easements for the Main Street streetscape project. 6. Approve PetData as Village's Animal Licensing Service Motion to approve PetData animal licensing service. PUBLIC COMMENT Gary Acker, Fire Chief for the Waunakee Fire Department, addressed the Village Board regarding the problems the Sun Prairie Fire Department was currently experiencing. LICENSES/PERMITS 1. Discuss and Take Action on Operator License Application for Margaret M. Tuscany Motion by Steve Kraus, second by Gary Herzberg, to approve the operator license application for Margaret M. Tuscany subject to successful completion of an approved responsible beverage server training course. Motion Passed. For: 4, Against: 0, Absent: 3. OLD BUSINESS 1. Discuss and Take Action on Peaceful Valley Parkway Status and Request for Time Extension Motion by Steve Kraus, second by Phil Willems, to approve the completion deadline of the parkway to be October 8, 2013.
